Eriocaulon scariosum is a species in the genus Eriocaulon (pipewort) which contains 478 species and belongs to the family of the Eriocaulaceae (Pipewort Family). Eriocaulon scariosum was described in 1810 by James Edward Smith. The name is considered as validly published.
