According to David W. Greenfield Emeritus Professor of Zoology, University of Hawaii at Manoa it's a new endemic species from New Caledonia.

Similar to Eviota atriventris (Greenfield & Suzuki, 2012) but not reported from New Caledonia. Abdomen of Eviota Sp. not crossed by a prominent curved white stripe but by 3-6 white dots.
